HIllsong United - From The Inside Out

Back to Sermons in Song>>>

Ok, this week is going to be a little different. Instead of sharing a song which comes primarily from one passage of scripture we will share one which touches many different passages and truths within the scriptures. It’s a song which deals with love, forgiveness, worship and Gods glory. Also, in the spirit of doing something a little different instead of spelling out how this song is related to scripture we have a little assignment for you:

Get a Bible and set aside some time to read the following passages, meditating upon what they reveal about God, His Glory, His Forgiveness, and His love.

  • 1John 1:5-2:2

  • Psalm 32

  • Psalm 34

  • Psalm 51

Then praise the One, Holy and True God (John 17:3) who loved us before we ever knew Him (1 John 4:19), who can/will take us and make us like Jesus presenting us as holy and blameless in His sight (Jude 24-25). Our God truly is an awesome God, one worthy of our complete, abandoned, and unadulterated worship.

Let us love Him from the inside out.

"From The Inside Out"

Lyrics by Joel Houston /

Music by Hillsong United

From the Album: "United We Stand" Track #5.

A thousand times I've failed
Still Your mercy remains                                And should I stumble again
I'm caught in Your grace
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame

Your will above all else
My purpose remains
The art of losing myself
In bringing You praise
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame

In my heart and my soul
Lord I give You control
Consume me from the inside out
Lord let justice and praise
Become my embrace
To love you from the inside out

Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart
Is to bring You praise
From the inside out
Lord my soul cries out
